The deaeration section, be it mono-head or multi-head, is ideal for products, such as wine, that are badly affected by oxidation. Its cycle can be divided into two steps, carried out in the same section:
The air is removed from the bottle by a high vacuum pump
The neutral gas (nitrogen or carbon dioxide) is injected into the bottle before filling
Once these two steps have been completed the bottle goes into the filling machine and doing so the neutral gas found inside the bottle is transferred to the tank thus avoiding the wine in the container to come into contact with the air in the bottle, which could cause carbonation.
